BREAKING NEWS – Petter Northug Jr. arrives with a brand-new team!

Cross-country skiing legend Petter Northug Jr. is back with a thunderous new team! Let’s get to know them.

Team Janteloppet is the name of this new team in the colours of the famous race of the same name. Norway’s Petter Nothug Jr, two-time Olympic champion, thirteen-time world champion and now a long-distance skier (Top 5 in Orsa this winter), has gathered around him several renowned athletes to accompany him on this new adventure.

Joar Thele, a former member of Team Ragde Charge and a highly experienced long-distance skier who finished 6th in the last Vasaloppet, will be a name to keep an eye on. He’s one of the best in the team. His experience and mental strength will be major assets for Team Janteloppet.

Even Northug, who is very comfortable when it comes to sprinting, has been on the podium three times in the World Cup this winter and will certainly be a name to watch in the competition for the green jersey.

Mathias Aas Rolid, a former rider of Team Næringsbanken Stora Enso and 11th in Alliansloppet last summer, has been making steady progress in recent years and will be keen to shine under his new colors.

On the women’s side, Team Janteloppet is banking on the young talent of Alessia De Zolte Ponte, who trained with the italian Team Internorm Alpenplus Trentino and was born in 1999. She has been part of the Italian national selection in the Alpen Cup on several occasions and is now concentrating on long-distance skiing. This winter, she produced some promising results, including winning the 23 km CT at Curon Venosta in Italia. You can be sure that she will progress within this team!
