Mitsubishi Electric World Classic Tour Season VIII Grand Final Results

Once again, Trollhättan Action Week hosted the final round of the Mitsubishi Electric World Classic Tour with the 15 km Classic Individual Start. This unique event was crucial in determining the winners of the overall classifications.


 

Magni Smedås in Command!

The Norwegian from Team Eksjöhus shone once again, finishing with more than a minute ahead of her closest competitor. With her aggressive style and ease on this demanding course, she was able to pull away from the pack and firmly establish herself as the leader of the general classification.

  1. Magni Smedås – Team Eksjöhus 39:26.8
  2. Moa Hansson – Sweden +1:09.1
  3. Linn Sömmskar – Sweden +1:10.5

 

Andrew Musgrave with great strenght

The Briton from Team Aker Dahlie was in excellent form again today, securing a commanding victory and cementing his position at the top of the general classification. He widened the gap, pushing his closest competitor back by more than twenty seconds!

After an intense summer of competition, we now have the overall champions of Mitsubishi Electric World Classic Tour Season VIII! Let’s have a look on it!

CHAPION STANDING

Magni Smedås claimed the yellow jersey after an impressive season marked by her remarkable consistency. The jersey had been held by Astrid Øyre Slind (Team Aker Dahlie), but she was unable to defend it in the final two stages due to illness.

With back-to-back victories in the last two events, Smedås showcased her champion spirit and captured the title of CHAMPION!

 

Among the men, it is Andrew Musgrave, in excellent form this summer, who takes home the title of CHAMPION! After an intense battle with Tomas Joly (Team Ramudden), Musgrave secured the title with a second-place finish at Alliansloppet and a victory in the final stage.

SPRINT STANDING

On the women’s side, Magni Smedås was highly aggressive throughout the season, collecting points at numerous sprint positions and ultimately clinching the green jersey. On the men’s side, Einar Kalland-Olsen, known for his several solo breakaways, particularly during BLINK Classics, and his strong performances in mass sprints, is crowned the best sprinter!

YOUTH STANDING

Julie Kvale Stöstad (Team Ramudden) is the best-placed rider under 26 in the general ranking, thanks to a consistently strong season and performances that highlight her great potential. Her teammate, Thomas Joly, who finished second in the general classification and won at Toppidrettsveka – Hitra, also claims the pink jersey for the best young rider!
