World Classic Tour is paused for 2025

World Classic Tour, the premier international rollerski series uniting the world’s top events and athletes, will be paused for the 2025 season. This decision comes as a result of financial constraints.

Despite the pause, the World Classic Tour organizers remain committed to the sport and its athletes. In collaboration with BLINK, Toppidrettsveka and Trollhättan Action Week, they are launching a special challenge in 2025 to maintain momentum and provide elite-level competition for the Teams and Athletes.

The five key events gathered under the name of “Summer Classics Challenge“:

  • Lysebotn Opp Stakning – August 6
  • Blink Classics – August 7
  • Toppidrettsveka Hitra – August 22
  • Alliansloppet 48 km – August 30
  • Alliansloppet 15 km Individual Start – August 31

Bonus points will be awarded to the top 15 athletes in each race. The top 3 women and men athletes overall will share a total prize fund of 70 000 SEK, awarded at the final prize ceremony in Trollhättan.

  • 1st Place: 20 000 SEK
  • 2nd Place 10 000 SEK
  • 3rd Place 5 000 SEK

While 2025 will be a year of transition, World Classic Tour team is already preparing for a strong return in 2026, with the goal of delivering a renewed and even more exciting international tour.
