Alliansloppet kept us on the edge of our seats until the very end!

What a race! The suspense at Alliansloppet was intense right until the very end, with both the men’s and women’s races coming down to thrilling, massive sprints!


 

The 48km race in the heart of Trollhättan city gathered the best riders of the World! And in the end, it was Edvin Anger for the men and Magni Smedås for the women who triumphed after phenomenal mass sprints!

 

 

Magni Smedås among the women:

The Norwegian from Team Eksjohüs secured victory after a suspenseful race, despite multiple attacks from Emilie Fleten (Team Ramudden), who suffered a broken pole in the final straight. Fleten has been named Athlete of the Day for her efforts!

Smedås narrowly edged out Julie Kvale Stöstad (Team Ramudden) and Kati Roivas (Team Eksjohüs) in the final sprint.

Notably, the favorite, Astrid Øyre Slind, was absent due to illness, resulting in the loss of her yellow jersey.

Anger at the End of the Suspense

In the men’s race, the action intensified when Andrew Musgrave from Team Aker Dahlie made a decisive move, breaking away with Swedish sprinter Edvin Anger. The peloton couldn’t close the gap on the two leaders, and it was Anger who ultimately clinched victory in a photo finish!

Third place, fiercely contested, went to Mathias Aas Rolid from Team Ragde Charge.
